Road to Computer Science – An important set and recap

Sunday morning. Exams are finally ended (yeah. Friday) and university has yet to begin (tomorrow). Cappuccino, nutella krapfen, a bit of calisthenics and some friends is a good way to start a day. But tomorrow is an important day. Since my third year of university if near to start, i need to start also Cs, so it’s time to set the exams i’ll do in the upcoming months.

A brief Recap

The last set of exams was really tough, so i barely ended 2 of them in something like 6 months.
The direct consequenze of that is that i really need to start study more, or i’ll be tremendously late on my schedule. But let’s take a look on my missing exams:

Linear Algebra: The main problem of that exams is that i have to totally restart it (yeah, i like bold today), due to the fact that coursera has deleted (i can see my previous posts on that topic) the course Coding the matrix. To continue the course, i’m currently using the
Edx course Linear Algebra: Foundations to Frontiers, which, sincerely, i like more that Coding the matrix, but it’s 15 weeks long, so it will be very hard to end it in time.
Database: The course offered by Stanford on its platform (Lagunita) was long, tough but very well built and challenging, so i hadn’t finished it in time, my bad. I need to finish it as soon as possible.
Algorithm, Part 2: while i’ve managed to end the part 1, i need to finish also the part 2, which i think will take “another exam away” (from my schedule), postponing the Stanford design of Algorithm course of one semester.

That said, the exams in the set were previously:

Multivariable Calculus (thanks again to the lessons made by prof. Gobbino on his website)
Electronic Engineering, exam divided into a 3 part course
Analysis and Design of algorithm , again a 2 part exam
Statistic this, more easy and focused on statistic

as a form of table

What i should have done     What i’ve done     What i haven’t finished
Multivariable calculus     Calculus
D&A of algorithms     Algorithm Part 1 & 2     Algorithm part 2
Statistic     Linear Algebra     Linear Algebra
Electrical Engineering     Database     Database

So probably my next exams are Multivariable Calculus, Algorithm part 2, Linear Algebra and DB. When one of the courses will be completed, i’ll take the next one on my schedule!
Timing

The major problem in here is the time schedule. Due to the terrible timetable of my university, the only time allowed for me 2 study is thursday (all day) and friday (all day from 18th of october). Since i really need to study a lot, i must study also during all the week end (so saturday and sunday). That said, those are only 32 hours/week, if all goes as planned, which are something less than the hours i’ve got free in the last semester.

I’m going to have serious fun!

As usual, see you to the next review!
