Still going on with Biotech? Wynaut!

The internet is full of really interesting courses, but mostly are related to comp science and programming and not many of them are related to biology and life science subjects. Luckily, nptel comes in handy and solves really a lot of problems (at least for me). Many other interesting courses however on edx coursera. As i'm and undergraduate, i'm looking for courses with are somewhat interesting for a graduate, and i'll list'em here! Note: in this article i'm not listing computational neuroscience and/or bioinformatics Nanobiotechnology https://nptel.ac.in/syllabus/118107015/ Bio inorganic chemistry https://nptel.ac.in/syllabus/104105031/ Biocatalizzatori https://nptel.ac.in/syllabus/104105032/ Eucaryotic gene expression https://nptel.ac.in/syllabus/104108056/ Biochemical Engineering https://nptel.ac.in/syllabus/103105054/ Nanotechnology systems https://nptel.ac.in/syllabus/118102003/ Principles of synthetic biology https...

I'M BACK BITCHEEEESS

Hi everyone. Long time no see So, guess what, i'm back, and i've got some really spicy updates. First of all, my disease got better. I'm still sick, but now it's manageable Second, i'm still (obviously) studying comp sci, but, due to my gradutation (yep, i'm now an undergratue in biotechnology) i'm a little bit less consistent (i promise i'll be back on track) What to do right now Well, right now, what i wanna keep on going with my bachelor. Many exams are waiting for me (i'm currently studying stanford design and analysis of algorithms, which is a tough course), like differential equations, statistics, software construction and many others. Right now, i think what i wanna study more is differential equations, due to some strong connections to some biological things and models, so it's really interesting to me. Another thing that's really nice is functional programming, mostly for learning really well programming fundamentals Due...

Exam Review - Multivariable Calculus

Rieccomi, periodicamente a scrivere su questo blog. Auguri di buone feste ad ogni lettore, italiano e non. Perche' sto scrivendo in italiano? Beh, molto semplice. Come sempre.

Free University & 1k$ laptop? No way

If you follow this blog, may be you can notice that al the courses i’ve listed in my online cs degree are totally free, from start to finish, and you can get a really good background in cs without spending a dollar, using only an inernet connection and a pc. Well, truly speaking, the pc part is awkard with this “strategy”. If you don’t have any money, you NEED to save every pence also in your coding machine. So, what’s the deal, how can you code like a pro without spending money on your laptop? The solution may seem hard, but really it isn’t. In this 2 years i’ve found many ways to be a cheap good programmer, and i’ll list all of’em here. Online IDE If you can afford a chinese tablet (for the portabilty) or even a 25 dollars pc like a raspberry pi, with only a keyboard and a mouse you can code easily, free and everywhere. Sure, you can’t code work with gargantuan ammount of data (like in algorithm design and analysis done by stanford, at least i’m not sure about it), but probab...

Long time no see

Well, long time no see everyone. I hadn’t written on this blog since 2016. My god. Soooo, it’s time for some updates, isn’t it? Me Well, not bad, but not that good. I have a strange disease which causes pain all over my body, mostly on both shoulders and kneeses. It’s also totally random, something like “spin a wheel and every we go! ”. Swallowing sadness, this isn’t bad as it seems (it is, but i’m not complaining here, it’s a blog about cs, not an obituary), I can still a bit train and keep my disgusting “6-pack-lookalike”. I’ve also moved away. New house, with tv, netflix, friends, a couch and many retrogames, as it should be for everyone. Not bad, for real. Biotech Almost endend. just 2 exams. Grades got worse, but i’m at the end. I’ve also done my apprenticeship, to the department of bioinformatics of my current university. Nice experience, also the thesis is half done, which is a great relief. Computer science It’s (SLOOOOWLY) going. I’m currently do...

Road Analysis – Part 1

Hello everyone! Merry Christmas (as it seems to be right now)! In this post, I’m going to analyze the subjects I’ve studied so far and rethinking my exams for everyone who wants to follow my path! Freshman – Fall During the fall, I’ve done     Introduction to Programming     Programming thinking (or something like that, see my previous review for that)     Introduction to Physics     Single Variable Calculus (just a part of it) My degree was different, presenting 5 exams (game development in html5 and js, which I’ve never done after that). Right now, a good degree should attests     Introduction to programming     Object Oriented Programming     Single Variable calculus     Physics     May be an elective course (but it’s not that useful, imo) Reviewing Leaving out the fact that I haven’t finished my set of exams, let’s talk about the exams:   ...

Just another recap

Wow. 3 posts in just 3 days. Am i sick? All going well? Parents? Ok? ok. Well, let’s start. This semester was really “strange”. During this season, the set of exams was     Electronics (a 3 part course done by MIT, free on Edx)     Design and Analysis of Algorithms (part 1 and 2)     Statistic     Multivariable Calculus So here it is. 4 exams (well, counting them, they are 7). Let me sign with a 🙂 the amount of exams i’ve done     Electronics (a 3 part course done by MIT, free on Edx)     Design and Analysis of Algorithms (part 1 🙂 and 2)     Statistic     Multivariable Calculus Now you get it. I’ve managed to do only one out of 7 courses (i’m currently at 30% of multivariable calculus). I’ve also dropped databases (which i’ll do probably the next year after networking), but luckily i’ve managed to complete Linear Algebra. LA probably led to this situation, because t...
